Quick comparison summary
| Comparison | Lower option | Higher option | What changes |

| Essential vs Premium | $29, 1,000 photos | $39, 5,000 photos | Face search starts at Premium |

| Monthly vs annual | $29 x 12 = $348 | $249 a year | $99 less on the Photographer plan |
Event plans are one-time. Hosting is 3 months, and a one-time extension adds 3 more months. Photographer subscriptions stay inside a monthly photo cap and a storage cap. Ultimate is described on the public pricing page under the fair usage policy, not as a public photo count.
Free gallery vs a paid event plan
A free PicBee gallery is for trying the product. A paid event plan is what you buy when guests are actually uploading. The prices below are the public launch prices.
Key points
- Free: 10 photos and 20 MB.
- Essential: $29 once (listed at $79), 1,000 photos, hosting for 3 months.
- Every paid event plan includes original quality, guest uploads, a QR code, the photo booth, albums, and download controls.
- Face search, POV cameras, photobooks, invitations, and a custom domain start at Premium, not on the free gallery or Essential.
What the free gallery includes
The free gallery is a real gallery, with a hard stop at 10 photos and 20 MB. It is enough to see the upload flow. It is not enough for a wedding, a party, or a conference, because those events produce more than 10 photos as soon as a few guests join.
What you pay to open it up
| Gallery | Price | Photos | Hosting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 | Included with the free account |
| Essential | $29 once | 1,000 | 3 months |
Worked example: a 200-photo wedding
Two hundred photos is a small guest gallery. The free plan stops at 10, so 190 photos never land. Essential at $29 covers 1,000 photos, which is enough for this example with room left. Hosting is 3 months from the event. If the couple wants the gallery open for 6 months, the Essential extension is $9 once, so the total is $38.
When the free gallery is the wrong plan
Is the free gallery enough for a wedding?
No, if guests are uploading. Ten photos is the free limit. A wedding gallery needs a paid event plan.
Do paid plans still use a QR code?
Yes. Guest uploads, the QR code, the booth, albums, and download controls are on every paid event plan. Guests still do not install an app.
Essential vs Premium vs Ultimate
These are one-time event plans. You are not billed next month. The launch price is what the public page shows. The listed price is the price before that launch discount.
Key points
- Essential is $29 (listed at $79) for 1,000 photos.
- Premium is $39 (listed at $130) for 5,000 photos, and it is the first plan with face search.
- Ultimate is $79 (listed at $199). The public page describes capacity under the fair usage policy.
- A 3 month extension is $9 on Essential, $19 on Premium, and $59 on Ultimate.
What each plan adds
| Feature | Essential | Premium | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Launch price | $29 | $39 | $79 |
| Listed price | $79 | $130 | $199 |
| Photos | 1,000 | 5,000 | Fair usage |
| Hosting | 3 months | 3 months | 3 months |
| Guest upload, QR, booth, albums | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Face search | No | Yes | Yes |
| POV cameras | No | Yes | Yes |
| Photobooks and invitations | No | Yes | Yes |
| Custom domain | No | Yes | Yes |
| Extension, 3 more months | $9 | $19 | $59 |
Worked examples
| Situation | Essential | Premium | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gallery open for 3 months | $29 | $39 | $79 |
| Gallery open for 6 months | $29 + $9 = $38 | $39 + $19 = $58 | $79 + $59 = $138 |
| About 800 guest photos, face search wanted | Photos fit. Face search is not included. | Photos fit, and face search is included. | Included, at a higher price than Premium. |
Premium is the usual wedding plan
Does Ultimate publish a photo cap?
The public pricing page points to the fair usage policy. Do not describe Ultimate as a fixed public photo count.
Can I add hosting later?
Yes. The extension is a one-time add-on for 3 more months. It does not start a subscription.
One event plan vs a photographer subscription
An event plan is for one gallery. A photographer plan is a monthly or yearly subscription for someone who keeps opening events. Unlimited events on a subscription still sit inside that plan's photo cap and storage cap.
Key points
- One Essential wedding is $29 once.
- Photographer is $29 a month (listed at $79) or $249 a year.
- Photographer includes 10,000 photos a month, 500 GB, 5 domains, and 1 team seat.
- Four separate Essential events in a year are $116 if each stays inside 1,000 photos and you do not buy extensions.
Photographer plan limits
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Photos / month | Storage | Domains | Team |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Photographer | $29 | $249 | 10,000 | 500 GB | 5 | 1 |
| Professional | $59 | $499 | 25,000 | 1 TB | 25 | 3 |
| Studio | $99 | $899 | 50,000 | 2 TB | 100 | 10, white label |
Listed monthly prices before the launch discount: Photographer $79, Professional $149, Studio $249. There is no API on these plans.
Worked example: one wedding, or four
One wedding
Essential is $29 once for that gallery. Paying Photographer for a whole year is $249, or $29 if you only keep the subscription for a single month. A single month still has the 10,000 photo monthly cap and 500 GB, which is more room than Essential, and the subscription is built for repeat events rather than one Saturday.
Four Essential events in a year
Four times $29 is $116, if each event stays inside 1,000 photos and the included 3 months of hosting. Photographer annual is $249 and covers up to 10,000 photos each month across events, inside 500 GB. The subscription costs more in this example, and it is the plan that keeps a running studio account instead of four separate purchases.

Monthly vs annual photographer billing
The same photographer plans can be paid every month or once a year. Twelve monthly payments cost more than the annual price. Public copy for annual billing is "Save up to 30%."
Key points
- Photographer: $29 x 12 is $348. The annual price is $249. The difference is $99.
- Professional: $59 x 12 is $708. The annual price is $499. The difference is $209.
- Studio: $99 x 12 is $1,188. The annual price is $899. The difference is $289.
- The photo, storage, domain, and team limits do not change when you switch from monthly to annual.
| Plan | Twelve monthly payments | Annual price | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photographer | $348 | $249 | $99 |
| Professional | $708 | $499 | $209 |
| Studio | $1,188 | $899 | $289 |
Does annual billing raise the photo cap?
No. Photographer stays at 10,000 photos a month and 500 GB. Professional stays at 25,000 photos a month, 1 TB, 25 domains, and 3 team seats. Studio stays at 50,000 photos a month, 2 TB, 100 domains, 10 team seats, and white label.
Is there an API on these plans?
No. Photographer, Professional, and Studio do not include API access.
